- has neither current nor anticipated commitments that would affect their ability to objectively provide legal advisory services as proposed and that their practice has sufficient capacity to allocate resources as and when required,
- should there be any conflict, we always endeavour to advise the client soonest, and
- client information will always be kept confidential.
Value for Money and our Fees
We recognize that value for money is a major consideration for all our clients and potential clients. We believe that our proposed and competitive fee structure brings the required skills, expertise, knowledge, and value to you. We provide legal services of the highest standard and constantly pursue positive outcomes for our clients at a reasonable cost.
Our fees are based, primarily, on the time spent on the task undertaken. We are always mindful of the need for clients to contain legal costs and our fee structure is designed to cater for their special circumstances. Billing is done monthly. To limit legal costs, work on all client matters is done by our internal legal practitioners and appointment of Counsel is done only in exceptional matters, upon prior consultation and approval by the client.
Fee Structure
Our professional fee rates are revised annually, at the beginning of March. Closer to the time of adjustment of our fees, the firm will appraise clients of such imminent adjustment. Disbursements are billed at the actual cost and where it is anticipated that the disbursements will be substantial, the firm may request that the client puts it in funds to meet disbursements.
The firm is open to negotiating legal fees and agreeing to a mutually acceptable rate with its clients. Any negotiations on fees will be done prior to the commencement of a project, rather than during or after completion of the project. We employ flexibility and further make an effort to consider the specific circumstances of the client at the time that the services are required.
To achieve this, we utilize the following methods or a combination thereof in charging our fees:
- An hourly rate, or Retainer fees
- Contingency fee agreement
- Flat fee rate
